Airport Night Run

Thousands of runners in high spirits and with just one goal in mind: the finish line. Despite the relatively cold temperatures, 6,869 runners ran through the future Berlin Brandenburg Airport this year – surpassing 2017’s record, which had a total of 305 participants.

The runners had a choice of four events:

  • 1,445 ran the half-marathon
  • 4,522 opted for the 10k run
  • 804 entered the 4×4 kilometre team relay
  • and 98 people walked the 10 kilometre track.

As in previous years, the race circled up and around the illuminated southern runway, over the apron and along the BER terminal. The starting signal for the half-marathon was at 7.05pm, with the runners of the 10 kilometre track starting at 7.30pm.
