The Berlin Biennale is an open culture space where people, artists and organizers experiment with the latest trends of the art world. An art laboratory that give young artists the opportunity to present their art to the public.
The latest Biennale took place in the 2016 and the next one will be in 2018. The Berlin Biennale was founded in 1998 on the initiative of Eberhard Mayntz and Klaus Biesenbach in order to promote an international forum for contemporary art in Berlin.

The aim of the Biennale was to organize an international exhibition of contemporary art in Berlin every two years and to attract attention to less established younger artists. The exhibition’s original and most important institutional partner is the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, which still provides the Berlin Biennale with the use of its exhibition spaces.
