Two living towers and a hotel are to be built directly on the water, in the Treptow-Köpenick neighborhood of Berlin. The politics are divided onto the project, but the Berlin skyline is decided to growing ever more.
In the middle of Treptowers and Twintowers, new comings to the Spreeufer. In Treptow
The Berlin district of Treptow-Köpernick voted to award planning permission to the new ‘TrepTowers’ buildings project by property company Agromex. The real estate company Agromex builds between the office complexes Treptowers and Twin-Towers by 2021 two slim residential towers (99 and 110 meters high) with about 209 properties and an apartment hotel directly on the banks of the river Spree.
The design for the new Spreetürme comes from the Berlin architect Justus Pysall, who had won a competition in 2012. The point high-rise houses stand on a narrow base, which creates additional free space. The large surrounding terraced balconies and “roomy panorama windows” are distinctive.
The construction is set to start in the 2018 and the project includes an underground car park with 500 bicycles and 335 car parking spaces. The walkway is widened from six to one and a half meters, behind the buildings a 3000 square meter play and recreation area is to be created.
