On your marks, get set, go!

The countdown is underway for the 12th Airport Night Run on Saturday 14th April 2018. The future Berlin Brandenburg Airport is transforming into an extraordinary running track. Running enthusiasts of the region will once again hear “On your marks, get set, go!” The run takes place in the evening at the terminal, as well as along the pier, under the passenger bridges, over and around the runaway and the apron. The start and finish area are directly underneath the terminal roof.

The 12th Airport Night Run is organized again this year by Golazo Sports GmbH (formerly Berlin Läuft). Participants can choose from four disciplines altogether: Half-marathon, 10-kilometre run, 10-kilometer power walk and the 4×4 kilometer team relay. Around 6,500 runners are expected. Online registration is still open until 10th April 2018. People can also spontaneously fill in the starting documents at Karstadt Sports (Kranzler Eck) on 13th April 2018, as well as at the venue at the late registration counter, up to an hour before the respective starts. The cost to register for the run is 40 euros for the half-marathon, 25 euros for the 10 kilometers run or walk, and 60 euros for the team relay. The start time for the half-marathon is at 19:05. The runners and the walkers for the 10-kilometer distance, as well as participants of the 4×4 kilometer team relay, will start at 19:30.

Arrival and on-site assistance

The event area is located in the Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Willy-Brandt-Platz in Airport City. Free parking is limited on site. It is recommended to arrive early, carpool or use public transport. Between 15:00 and midnight, there are free shuttle buses between the S-Bahn station at Berlin-Schönefeld and the event location.

In the start area, runners have the chance to use the toilets, changing rooms, showers as well as the storage lockers. Visitors and accompanying people can cheer on the participants in the start and finish area. Support for the route is not possible.

More information on the run and how to apply can be found online at www.airport-run.com, or you can ring +49 (0)30 2431-9977.
