Ryanair flies to Berlin
The Irish low-cost carrier is expanding its base in Berlin: with the launch of the 2019 summer flight schedule, Ryanair will also be flying from Tegel. The airline will take over Laudamotion’s routes from TXL and also add new connections to its flight schedule. The airline will fly from Berlin-Tegel to a total of 19 destinations, starting in March. In addition to the Laudamotion connections taken over by Ryanair, e.g. to Palma de Mallorca, Bari, Milan or Ibiza, the airline will also be flying directly from TXL to Krakow, Alghero, Luxembourg and Lamezia Terme. Schönefeld will continue to serve as a base as well. From here, Brno and Banja Luka will be introduced with the launch of the summer flight schedule.
With the start of the flight operations from TXL, Ryanair will then offer a total of 71 connections from Berlin, 19 of which will be from Tegel and 52 from Schönefeld.
Discover a diverse Europe with the new Ryanair destinations accessible from TXL
Why only travel to capitals? Immerse yourself in the Polish metropolis of Krakow and let yourself be inspired by the picturesque old town as well as the rich cultural attraction of the former royal residence. Krakow is considered by many to be the secret capital of Poland, but definitely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Would you like to combine a city trip with a beach holiday? How about “Little Barcelona” on an Italian island? Picturesque Alghero in Sardinia shows clear traces of the former Catalan conquerors even today and enchants not least with its fantastic location on the northwestern coast.
Luxembourg is also an attractive travel destination: the European financial metropolis has much more to offer than banks and modern glass palaces, as the city can look back on a rich 1000 year history. Among the most important sights are the medieval fortifications, which belong to the UNESCO world cultural heritage.
Do you love the beach, nature and Italian flair? Then take a flight to Lamezia Terme to discover a pearl at the tip of Italy’s boot. Enjoy the Dolce Vita in beautiful Calabria and visit charming villages like Tropea or Pizzo, admire the wonderful “Coast of the Gods” Costa degli Dei, which lives up to its name and experience the warm hospitality of the southern Italians.
Exciting new destinations accessible from Schönefeld
The Ryanair base in Schönefeld will also be further expanded. From 3 April 2019, for example, the airline will be travelling twice a week to Banja Luka in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The airline will operate directly from Berlin to the second largest city in the country. With its thermal springs, it is particularly popular as a wellness and spa destination, and thanks to its numerous parks and avenues it is also known as a “green city”. Edinburgh in Scotland, Faro in Portugal, the Ukrainian capital Kiev, Brno in the Czech Republic and Marrakech in Morocco are other new destinations that Ryanair will be flying to from SXF.
