Berlin is also a trending brand. Vogue and VIPs addicted to the city

Highsnobiety and Diadora announce the launch of their first collaboration with a four-piece capsule collection created for the summer of 2018. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Diadora, they offer a new collection inspired by Berlin, which includes the N9002 sneakers, a jumpsuit, a pair of sliders and a beach towel. The collection will be available exclusively on Highsnobiety.com from Thursday 28 June.

The collection designed by Highsnobiety with Hikmet Sugoer is inspired by one of the most famous monuments in Berlin: the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) located in the western part of the city. The stylist is proudly from Berlin and, as a teenager, he spent many hours in the square in front of the old church.

Inspired by the area of West Berlin around one of the city’s most famous landmarks, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church (known as the Gedächtniskirche in German), the area was a central point in the city’s rap, hip hop, breakbeat, and skate scene in the ’80s and ’90s.

The space between the former bombed church and the neon signs of the Europa Center was, in fact, a meeting point for lovers of hip-hop, breakdance and skate before the fall of the Wall. In the color palette of the Highsnobiety x Diadora collection, there are references to the historic church: the gray and silver of the stone, the gold plate, the copper and the green.
