Wanted: Tenants for Retail and Gastronomic Spaces
Rental space available in Terminal 2 at BER: Until 29 March 2019, companies have the opportunity to express their interest in participating in the letting process for the gastronomic, retail and exchange spaces in Terminal 2 at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. The process has been underway since 20 March. The rental space will be allocated in packages. Interested bidders are invited to participate. Detailed information can be obtained from the centre management of the airport company.
Bidders from the following sectors are in demand:
- retail: books, press, souvenirs, convenience
- gastronomy: restaurants, bakeries, cafés
- currency exchange: exchange desk and three machines
In view of rising passenger numbers in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, the terminal infrastructure at BER is already being expanded. Terminal 2, with a capacity of six million passengers per year, is being built in front of Pier North.
There will be areas for gastronomy, retail, money exchange, tourist information and ATMs on the ground floor of Terminal 2, in addition to the check-in area, the baggage claim area and the arrivals area. Security checks will be carried out one floor above on level 1. Passengers will then reach a plaza on the airside with duty-free/duty-pay, retail and gastronomic areas.
On the competitive procedure
The rental space will be allocated in a multi-stage competitive procedure with the following steps: pre-qualification, bid request and negotiation. Interested parties are initially requested to contact the airport company via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by 29 March 2019, stating their contact details. They will then receive detailed information about the bidding and the prequalification documents proving their basic suitability.
